Charlotte Bronte Inspired

True pleasure breathes not city air,
Nor in Art’s temples dwells,
In palaces and towers where
The voice of Grandeur dwells.

Go, sit upon a mountain steep,
And view the prospect round;
The hills and vales, the valley’s sweep,
The far horizon bound.

Charlotte Bronte’s poem ‘Pleasure’ describes true beauty in the great outdoors. Bronte paints striking scenes, capturing the imagination and makes the reader wish to be outside! To re-create this feeling, Stephie used photography from The Lake District as well as The Dolomites in two creative prints – Luna and Colfosco.

A hot air balloon rises from The Lakes in Luna with water droplets clinging to flowers. Colfosco features a grand mountain touching the clouds with a delicate frame of flowers and a ski chalet hidden within the design. Both designs feature a combination of Stephie’s photography and paintwork combined together in photoshop to create a dramatic effect. Stephie uses oil paints to create a texture and depth to the designs. The colour of each design is vibrant and striking.

Each design is beautifully made into silk scarves and T-shirts with the name of the poem printed on the border. Our Colfosco print is featured on our best selling ‘Girls with Vision’ Eye Mask, perfect for gifts.
