Embroidery is a fantastic way to unwind while learning a new skill. In this workshop we will first embroider a felt square with a lavender design, learning two decorative stitches, back stitch and a detached chain stitch, before turning our embroidered felt into a lavender bag. Learn the classic blanket stitch to sew the felt together, creating a bag - a great stitch to use with other projects. During the two and a half hours we'll aim to complete the lavender bag, fill it with organic dried lavender, and finish it ready for you to take home. If we run out of time, extra thread, the lavender and instructions will be provided for you to finish at your own pace.
Learn from Stephie, an expert in hand embroidery and product design. Stephie's been sewing since she was a young teenager, making and selling hand embroidered gifts over nine years. Stephie's on hand to help anyone who needs it as well as sharing top tips and trade secrets. Tea, coffee and soft drink refreshments will be provided.
