In each 1.5-hour session, you'll dive into the world of hand embroidery, guided by Stephie - an expert in hand embroidery. Here's what's in store for you:Session 1: Sampler Exploration
- Discover the fundamentals of hand embroidery as we delve into various stitches and techniques.
- Uncover insider tips and tricks to elevate your embroidery skills.
- Get hands-on as you create your own 'sampler' hoop, using vibrant colours and showcasing a variety of stitches from french knots, chain stitching and lazy daisies.
Session 2: Lavender Bag Creation
- Channel your newfound skills into crafting a charming lavender bag, a lovely keepsake to keep your drawers fresh or gift for friends and family.
- Embroider a delightful lavender themed design onto felt, stitching it together with a blanket stitch.
Materials and Tools Included:
- Embroidery hoops
- Assorted threads in a rainbow of colours
- Needles, scissors, and all necessary tools
- Fabric for both the sampler and lavender bag
- Lavender for your bag's fragrant filling
Take-Home Experience:
While it's unlikely you'll complete your sampler and lavender bag during the workshop, fear not! We'll equip you with comprehensive instructions and all the materials required to finish your projects at your own pace, allowing you to savor the creative process in the comfort of your home.
